Are there gamers who really get paid to play video games? Or, is it merely a massive myth which serves no real purpose? Truth be known, people can and are getting paid to play new video game titles every single day. However, the phrase "play" generally will lose some of it's meaning with this sort of opportunity.
One of the major misconceptions with regards to testing video game titles for cash is that it's very easy and 100% fun ALL THE TIME. You're free to plop down, relax, play great new video game titles, and then receive a great big check after you're done. That would truly be a perfect job; but unfortunately, it's not how it actually works. Any time you play a game, you explore & "beat" an area and then proceed on to the next. When you test a game, you'll beat a level after which you'll RESTART that level and play it again. You won't do this once, twice, or even three times. The fact is, you'll do this repeatedly until you have located all the glitches & bugs within that level. This might lead to playing a particular area of a game a dozen or more times to make certain that you've uncovered all of the game's possible errors. Does this sound like a "exciting time" to you? I'm going to just take a guess and say PROBABLY NOT!
